Clean the Bay

Bhaya Group has since inception consistently been leading campaigns to address the impact of pollution, both on the ground and through raising awareness of the issue. 

Since 2012, Bhaya Group has locally organized initiatives around the issues. The initiatives include Clean the Bay 2012 and Action for Halong Bay 2013, calling for public participation to collect and reduce garbage on the Halong Bay. This year, the re-launch of these campaigns in February has collected more than 2300 kg’s of garbage, which we estimate could have constituted as many as 20 100 pieces covering 8.5 football fields. The more harrowing statistic is that this could have taken as much as 6.5 million years to ‘breakdown’ in the environment.
