Bhaya Group Blood Donation Campaign
As a part of 10-year anniversary of Bhaya Group, on May 21, 2017 Bhaya Cruises held a blood donation campaign.
Blood donation has been a national program in Vietnam since 2000. This noble action expresses the Vietnamese tradition of sharing and solidarity.
As a part of 10 year anniversary of Bhaya Group, on May 21, 2017 Bhaya Cruises in cooperation with Quang Ninh Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation held a blood donation campaign. With the name “Bhaya – những trái tim hồng” (Bhaya – the pink hearts), the campaign call for volunteers from all onshore officers and onboard crew of Bhaya Group.
Right from 7.am, at level 2 Bhaya Group Centre we welcomed many volunteers who were willing to give their own blood for those in need. Mr.Thao – Captain of Bhaya Cruise no.1 and Mr.Thuy – Captain of Bhaya Legend Private Cruise no.04 managed to take part in the campaign right when the cruise is in harbour after drydock period. Despite the hard work during drydock, our captain set the role model for every crew member.
At the end of the day, we received 53 unit of blood, equivalent to 13.250ml by a total of 89 volunteers. “The campaign has brought hope and life to thousands of patient in the region. We highly appreciate the community initiatives undertaken by business firms which support the locals” – said representative from Quang Ninh Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation.
