Updated:

On June 10, 2025, nearly 100 volunteers from tourism companies, travel agencies, and environmental enthusiasts joined forces for the 2025 Ha Long Bay Cleanup Campaign, organized by Bhaya Cruises. This annual event aims to protect the environment and preserve the beauty of the World Natural Heritage site from the impact of waste.

Through this campaign, Bhaya Cruises once again affirmed its pioneering mission in sustainable tourism development in Ha Long Bay. They not only provide wonderful experiences for tourists but also work together to preserve and pass on the value of nature to future generations.

A meaningful journey combined with a unique experience

This year, the program went beyond just collecting waste, offering volunteers a preview experience of the upcoming Bhaya Soul cruise. On the way to the cleanup area, the volunteer group explored more remote, pristine corners of the bay – truly embodying the “tranquil voyage” philosophy that Bhaya Soul aims for.

Impressive results

Under the dedicated guidance of representatives from Keep Vietnam Clean, volunteers gained knowledge about waste classification and effective collection methods. They were also strongly inspired by the shared responsibility of environmental protection – a common mission for all who love Ha Long Bay.

In an enthusiastic atmosphere, every pair of hands and every quiet step worked together to clean 2 km of coastline in the Ba Men Temple and Ba Ham Lake areas – places that retain the wild, tranquil beauty of the World Natural Heritage site.

These continuous efforts yielded impressive results:

  • 2 km of coastline at Ba Men Temple and Ba Ham Lake areas were cleaned.
  • 305 blocks of foam and 746 pieces of discarded fishing net were collected.
  • Over 201 kg of plastic waste and 492 branches, wood fragments, and other types of waste were processed.

More than just numbers, it was the spirit of solidarity, sharing, and love for nature that resonated most deeply with each volunteer. Everyone understood that every piece of trash picked up today was not just a simple act of cleaning, but also a way to protect the future and preserve the beauty of Ha Long Bay.

After a day of diligent work, the volunteer group returned to the Au Co cruise ship and relaxed together with a lively sunset party. The energetic music from the DJ and cool beers on the sundeck, under the brilliant sunset, created an unforgettable experience, well-deserved for the participants’ contributions.

The campaign not only contributed to raising environmental awareness but also served as an opportunity for the tourism community to unite for a green, clean, and beautiful Ha Long Bay. Bhaya Cruises hopes to continue spreading this message to more visitors in the future.
