(*) If you book a transfer from Hanoi, transportation will start between 8:00 and 8:30 AM, depending on your pick-up location. The drive to Ha Long usually takes around 2.5 hours.
In case you want to schedule the Ha Long cruise on the same day of landing at Noi Bai airport, the flight landing time should be around 6:00 - 7:00 AM at the latest (and earlier if it's an international flight and you need to go through customs).
The journey begins at the Bhaya Cruise Center within Tuan Chau International Marina, where guests are welcomed aboard The Au Co. After settling into the cabin, enjoy a safety briefing at Halong Restaurant and meet the Cruise Manager and crew while savoring a refreshing welcome drink.
As the vessel cruises through the magnificent seascape of Ha Long Bay, lunch is served against a backdrop of towering limestone karsts and emerald waters. In the afternoon, guests venture to the secluded Ba Ham Lake, one of the bay’s most tranquil corners. Exploring by kayak, visitors can glide through calm waters, discover hidden lagoons, and admire the untouched beauty of this remarkable natural setting.
Returning to the cruise, there is time to relax and freshen up before the evening activities begin. As the sun sets over the bay, Happy Hour offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy handcrafted drinks while taking in the spectacular scenery. Later, guests are invited to join the Master Chef “Halong Bay Edition” competition, learning the techniques behind authentic Vietnamese cuisine and competing for exciting prizes.
Dinner is served in the restaurant as the cruise settles into its overnight anchorage. The evening continues with a Vietnamese rice wine tasting session, introducing guests to regional varieties and local traditions. Day two begins at first light with a revitalising Tai Chi session on the sundeck, as sunrise casts its golden glow across the limestone seascape of Ha Long Bay. After breakfast, guests may choose between two distinctive experiences: exploring Tien Ong Cave, renowned for its archaeological significance and impressive natural formations, or visiting the Cua Van Floating Culture Center by kayak or traditional rowing boat, offering an authentic glimpse into the heritage and daily life of one of Ha Long Bay’s most iconic floating communities.
Returning on board, there is time to gather belongings and enjoy a final breakfast as the cruise makes its way back. Sinply the best company and landscape
We did the 1 night/2day cruise at Au Co and it was superb! Trust them. The food, itinerary, kindness, cleanliness, infrastructure, all were amazing! We were upgraded to the Halong Suit and we were static!! We just regret not have booked 2 nights. The landscape is mesmerizing, and I have seen some views, trust me! Our 6 year old loved every minute. Was our best sleep in Vietname so far!
Lovely boat trip in Halong Bay on AuCo1
We had a wonderful 2 days on AuCo1 after a busy start to our holiday in Hanoi, this is just what we needed. The boat is lovely and clean, good facilities, the staff were friendly and helpful. Tan was particularly helpful with going through the vegetarian options at lunch and, showing the menu for the evening. The food was excellent and there was plenty of choice. We enjoyed the excursion to Cat Ba island and rode bicycles to/from the village which was fun!

Our stay on Auco 1 was absolutely wonderful. We stayed for just one night to celebrate our anniversary, and the experience exceeded our expectations. The staff beautifully decorated our room and surprised us during dinner with drinks and a bouquet, which made the evening extra special. All the activities were very well organized, and everything ran seamlessly. We would definitely recommend this cruise.
Excellent trip with amazing views and staff
Excellent all round trip and great value for money. A special mention for the staff who were amazing especially Katie, Joy and Sarah, who made our stay so enjoyable, knowledgeable and fun. The cabins are quite large and have AC and shower and toilet. They each have a private balcony with amazing views.
1 night boat cruise - a must do
My sister and I did the 2 day (1 night) au co boat cruise (on au co 1) and we had an amazing time! The staff were all so friendly and went completely above and beyond to make sure that everyone had a good time. This boat cruise we saw on the journey was definitely the nicest - great food, lovely room with a balcony and stunning sun deck.
