Route Map
DAY 1 - HANOI - LAN HA BAY
Cruise Departure: 12:00 PM
(*) If you book a transfer from Hanoi, transportation will start between 8:30 and 9:00 AM, depending on your pick-up location. The drive to Ha Long usually takes around 2.5 hours.
In case you want to schedule the Ha Long cruise on the same day of landing at Noi Bai airport, the flight landing time should be around 6:00 - 7:00 AM at the latest (and earlier if it's an international flight and you need to go through customs).
The first day on board Au Co Cruise unfolds with a journey toward Viet Hai Village, located deep within Cat Ba National Park. Surrounded by lush landscapes and quiet coastal scenery, the village offers a glimpse into the everyday rhythm of a small Northern Vietnamese community.
Upon arrival, guests take part in an excursion through Viet Hai Village, traveling by bicycle or electric cart operated by local residents (additional fee applies). The route passes through verdant fields and village pathways, providing opportunities to observe daily life and learn about Bhaya Cruises’ community initiatives, including the Bhaya Community Farm and the “Save the Langurs” project. The visit continues at Bhaya Café, where guests can enjoy views of green fields and grazing buffalos while preparing a refreshing “mojitea” using Bhaya’s recipe or trying a hands-on experience with Northern Vietnam’s traditional bánh cuốn (steamed rice rolls).
Back on board later in the afternoon, the atmosphere shifts to a more relaxed pace with Happy Hour. Guests are invited to enjoy a wide selection of beverages while taking in the panoramic views of Ha Long Bay as the scenery drifts by.
As evening approaches, the day concludes with a Vietnamese rice-wine tasting session held in the restaurant or bar. The experience introduces several popular varieties of rice wine from Vietnam and the Ha Long region, accompanied by insights into their origins and distinctive characteristics.
DAY 2 - HALONG BAY
The second day begins in the Trinh Nu Area, a quieter corner of Ha Long Bay known for its clear waters and natural surroundings. The area includes Trinh Nu Cave, noted for its sunlight-filled interior, as well as a pristine beach set against the bay’s crystal-clear water.
Time is scheduled for activities in the Trinh Nu Area, where guests may kayak through the jade-colored waters or spend time relaxing on the beach tucked behind Trinh Nu Cave, enjoying the calm atmosphere and open views of the surrounding limestone formations.
The cruise then continues toward Cua Van Floating Village, located in the heart of Ha Long Bay. The village is recognized for its floating homes and traditional fishing lifestyle, offering insight into a way of life shaped by the rhythms of the sea.
Upon arrival, guests explore Cua Van Floating Village by rowing boat or kayak, moving gently through calm waters framed by towering karsts and limestone mountains while observing daily life in the floating community.
As the afternoon transitions into evening, the itinerary returns on board for a sunset cooking session held on the sundeck, or indoors should weather conditions require. The experience unfolds as the light softens across Ha Long Bay, setting a relaxed tone for the evening.
Later at night, guests are invited to join the crew on the main deck for squid fishing, a traditional nighttime activity, before the day concludes and the vessel settles in for rest.
DAY 3 - HALONG BAY - HANOI
Cruise Disembarkation: 10:00 AM
(*) If you book a return transfer to Hanoi or Noi Bai Airport, you will arrive in central Hanoi/ the airport at around 1:30 - 2:30 PM (depending on traffic conditions and the type of transport). Please take these times into consideration when booking your onward flight, train, or bus to your next destination.
The final morning on board begins gently, as the vessel rests amid the limestone scenery of Ha Long Bay. At sunrise, guests are invited to join a Tai Chi session on the sundeck, offering a calm and reflective start to the day against the backdrop of the UNESCO World Heritage landscape.
