Introduction to Lotus Silk (30 minutes)
Begin with an introduction to the fascinating history of lotus silk and its cultural significance in Vietnam. Visit the family silk workshop and gain insight into the traditional processes behind silk production.
Harvest & Fiber Extraction (45 minutes)
Venture to the lotus pond to harvest stems and learn the delicate technique of extracting silk fibers by hand. Available seasonally, this rare experience reveals the remarkable craftsmanship behind every strand of lotus silk.
Spinning & Weaving (45–60 minutes)
Return to the workshop to spin threads and try weaving on a traditional loom under the guidance of a master artisan. Experience firsthand the patience and precision required to create one of the world’s most exclusive textiles.
