This statement seeks to reaffirm that Bhaya Group understands its responsibility in regards to the promotion of non-exploitative practices that involve children. The statement establishes a framework clarifying the organizations minimum expectations; internally from our teams and externally from our suppliers.<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Definition<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A child is under the age of 18 (as defined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of a Child). We aim to safeguard the protection of children through our teams, suppliers, and guests by adopting a zero tolerance policy for abusive practices.<\/span><\/p>\n

Harm can be caused by those who inflict it or by those that fail to prevent it and are not restricted by any socio-economic group, gender or culture.<\/span><\/p>\n

It can take a number of forms, including the following:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Physical abuse<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Sexual abuse<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Emotional abuse<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Bullying<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Neglect<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Financial (or material) abuse<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    2. Responsibilities<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    All staff has a responsibility to follow the guidelines laid out in this statement and related statements and to highlight any concerns using the required procedures.<\/span><\/p>\n

    We expect all staff to promote good practice by being an excellent role model, contribute to discussions about safeguarding and to positively involve people in developing safe practices.<\/span><\/p>\n

    3. Communications, training, and support for staff<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Bhaya Groups commits to making resources available for induction, training of staff, effective communications and support mechanisms in relation to preventing child exploitation.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The induction will include:<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    • How to spot potential cases where abuse may occur<\/span><\/li>\n
    • What action to take in this case<\/span><\/li>\n
    • How \/ Who to report to<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      4. Professional boundaries<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

      Bhaya Group expects staff to protect the professional integrity of themselves and the organization. Employees are expected to set an example and as such any incidences of being involved either personally or professionally in not reporting instances of child exploitation will be brought to the relevant authority\u2019s attention.<\/span><\/p>\n

      5. Reporting<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

      The following sets out the path on what action to take if abuse or exploitative practices are suspected.<\/span><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Inform your line manager immediately if the concern arises<\/span><\/li>\n
      • If the immediate manager is implicated, then refer to their line manager or peer<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Where appropriate inform the relevant authorities<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Follow the advice provided from authority\/line manager<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Seek medical attention for child\/children if required<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Complete incidence report form and send to the company<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
